Our client, a specialist law firm, is actively seeking an experienced Legal Risk & Compliance professional to join them on a permanent basis in their London office - working as their new Risk & Compliance Manager.
This role is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Manager to assist and strengthen their Risk & Compliance team which currently consists of; COLP, MLRO and Compliance Assistant.
As the successful Risk & Compliance Manager, you'll be responsible for (but not limited to) the following:
- Ensuring compliance with SRA Codes of Conduct
- Identifying, assessing and mitigating risks related to client confidentiality
- Identifying conflicts of interest
- Providing regular compliance training to Partners, Solicitors and wider staff
- Developing, implementing and maintaining policies and procedures
- Conducting file reviews to ensure compliance with client care obligations
- Providing support to the Complaints Manager in relation to complaints against the firm
- Overseeing compliance with GDPR and Data Protection legislation, alongside the Data Protection Manager
- Acting as the Liaison Officer for any SRA inspection visits to the firm

To be considered for this new Risk & Compliance Manager opportunity, you'll need to have/be the following:
- Have experience as a Manager within Legal Risk & Compliance or be a Practising Solicitors with experience in Legal Risk & Compliance
- Have detailed knowledge of AML legislation and Data Protection Legislation
- Be able to commute to the London office on a regular basis, as well as sporadic travel to Reading (which is reimbursable)
- Be able to thrive in a high-pressured environment
