My client is one of America’s best and biggest law firms. They have offices across the US, Latin America, Africa, Asia, Europe, Middle East, and Russia. They are multiple award winners for their innovative work across their practice areas.
They use London as their European hub and continue to grow. They now have an opening for a Payroll Coordinator for the London office, you would aid the Payroll Officer performing a variety of payroll duties for the international offices in their respective currencies. You would process the payroll monthly with regular changes across all the different international offices and pay employees in line with the deadline of the pay date each month. A key aspect of your role would be ensuring complete compliance with the relevant Jurisdictions Tax authorities.
Responsibilities
- Process all international payroll changes monthly ensuring a high level of accuracy and working with Payroll Providers, as necessary.
- Process all new joiners and leavers with international payroll providers as necessary, ensuring correct tax treatment and compliance with those jurisdictions’ requirements.
- Adding new joiners and calculating the monthly pension scheme uploads for various jurisdictions.
- Reconciling monthly, any outstanding or trailing pension contributions.
- Processing all Tax & Pension payments to the relevant Authorities in each jurisdiction.
- Attend relevant webinar/seminars to keep up to date with changes in payroll legislation.
- Deal with any payroll related queries from employees.
- Assumes responsibility for maintaining the highest level of confidentiality of all financial and systems-related information.
- Maintains knowledge of trends, developments and new technologies affecting the Accounts Payable function.
- Participates in departmental project teams and task forces designed to streamline workflow and/or resolve issues
- Assists with various firm and/or departmental projects and initiatives as assigned.
Candidate Profile
- GCSE’s Grade C or above, including Math’s and English, or equivalent.
- 2-3 years of related payroll experience, preferably within a professional services organisation, including payroll processing, familiarity with ADP iHCM.
- Strong communication skills required to interact well with all levels of management and staff and the ability to work independently or in a team environment.
- Strong organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills and ability to prioritize multiple assignments, take initiative and produce accurate and detailed work while adhering to strict deadlines and standards.
- Proficient personal computer skills and knowledge of firm software including word processing, with a strong emphasis on spreadsheets, database, time and attendance, and payroll software applications.
