They are now looking for a Management Accountant, the role is responsible for the compilation and production of detailed management accounts and budgets whilst ensuring the on-going improvement in quality of output for the purposes of providing more meaningful management information to the London & Brussels management and NY accounting teams.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for London office annual expense budget detail. 
  • Preparation of monthly management accounts reporting.
  • Production of monthly budgetary control variance analysis. 
  • Review and preparation of monthly G/L analysis detail. 
  • Preparation of quarterly expense forecasting.
  • Preparation of quarterly partnership tax accounts accrual reporting. 
  • Development of expense reporting required by the London & Brussels managers. 
  • Assist with annual partnership UK Tax return and PAYE settlement agreement expense analysis. 
  • Compilation of annual capital expenditure budget.
  • Review & set-up of new AP vendors as required. 
  • Manage London office quarterly VAT return. 
  • Preparation of cash flow forecast reporting for London & Brussels offices. 
  • Review of weekly invoice & expenses payment runs. 
  • Preparation of foreign exchange currency journals. 
  • Support Finance Supervisor with accounting projects. 
  • Daily report to Finance Supervisor regarding all work duties & tasks. 

Candidate Profile

  • Degree Educated, a BA in Accounting or similar preferred. 
  • Part and/or Qualified Accountant preferred. 
  • Legal or professional services accounting experience, 5+ years required. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office with advanced Excel skills. 
  • Experience of using Elite 3E or a comparable accounting system required. 
  • Working knowledge of UK Solicitors Accounts Rules. 
  • Strong understanding of UK VAT rules. 
  • Strong understanding of AML compliance rules. 
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to verbally present information effectively and respond to questions from people at all levels, including Partners, staff and external customers. 
  • Highly organised with excellent time management skills.
