Our client is a central London law firm with around 100 staff. They work in five main areas of business, including; Corporate, Real Estate and Private Client.

Their benefits package includes corporate gym membership, season ticket loan, 25 days holiday and pension scheme.

They are now looking to recruit a Legal Cashier. The successful candidate will have previous experience working in a legal firm and have good knowledge of Solicitors Accounts Rules.

Responsibilities

  • Processing client receipts and payments
  • Client to Client Transfers including moving WIP
  • Client to Office Transfers
  • Liaising with the relevant fee earner for authorisation of invoices
  • Inputting/payment of invoices onto Accounts Payable
  • Post - sorting out internal/external Finance Post
  • Recording cheques received in cheque log
  • Paying in client and office cheques on Accounts System and preparing the banking
  • Re-opening matters when requested
  • Write Offs - disbursements and WIP
  • File re-opening and closures
  • Daily Filing
  • Liaising with banks on queries as and when required
  • Any ad hoc tasks/queries which may be required from time to time

Candidate Profile

  • SRA Accounts Rules
  • 1-2 years accounts processing experience
  • Must be a team player
  • Strong IT, organizational skills
  • Able to manage own workload and show initiative
  • Flexible in approach to work
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
