Our client is a London-based law firm known for their distinctive approach, offering a tailored suite of legal services. They identify and develop talented individuals from diverse backgrounds, fostering long-term careers with the goal of empowering them to shape and lead the firm in the future.

They are now recruiting for a Junior PA to join their private client team, this role aims to provide professional, efficient, and client-focused legal support to a group of fee earners.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Responding to inquiries from internal and external contacts and promptly relaying messages
  • Accessing and managing fee earners’ inboxes and voicemails when required, including coverage during absences (e.g., leave, secondments, sabbaticals)
  • Developing strong knowledge of clients and rapport with client team members
  • Ensuring all document formatting, typing, and redaction work is forwarded with clear instructions and deadlines to the Document Production team
  • Preparing presentation materials for meetings and seminars in collaboration with Business Development as needed
  • Assisting with diary management, scheduling meetings, and coordinating conference calls, often liaising with reception, room bookings, IT, and facilities
  • Supporting billing processes alongside the department’s billing coordinator, as required
  • Handling billing and finance queries using the Elite system
  • Assisting with client due diligence and preparing client engagement letters in collaboration with risk management
  • Coordinating travel arrangements, preparing itineraries, and organizing logistics for client and BD-related trips
  • Processing payments and handling expense forms
  • Supporting fee earners and the marketing and BD team with tasks

This role may require flexibility to support other practice areas during peak times.

Qualifications, Experience, and Technical Skills

  • Previous PA experience in a law or finance firm is preferred
  • Secretarial qualifications (e.g., RSA, CILEX, legal secretarial diploma) are advantageous
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Strong typing, spelling, grammar, and proofreading skills
