My client, a top international law firm, is actively seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Risk & Compliance professional to join them on a permanent basis in their London office - working as their new Compliance Officer.
Headed by the firm's General Counsel - the successful Compliance Officer will provide support, assistance and training across the firm and within the department in relation to their business acceptance policies and procedures.
As the successful Compliance Officer, you'll be responsible for (but not limited to) the following:
- Running and sending conflict searches
- Reviewing all new clients and matters to ensure conflicts searches are completed
- Conducting client screening and sanction screening
- Ensuring all new clients and matters comply with AML and CDD policies/procedures
- Dealing with queries in relation to client and matter inception
- Sending to Terms and Conditions of Business to new clients
- Recording special terms agreed with clients
- Monitoring the team's shared inbox and working with the wider compliance team
+ much more.
To be considered for this Compliance Officer position, you'll need to have/be the following:
- Have at least 18 months experience within LEGAL Risk & Compliance
- Be educated to degree level (ideally law)
- Be able to commute to the London office on a regular basis
- Have experience using Intapp or a similar tool
