My client is a leading US law firm seeking a highly motivated and talented Associate to join our dynamic and growing practice.
Role Overview
As a Competition Associate, you will play a crucial role in advising clients on a wide range of competition law matters, including mergers and acquisitions, antitrust litigation, and regulatory investigations. You will work closely with senior associates to provide legal advice on complex matters, such as market analysis, economic modelling, and negotiation.
Responsibilities
- Conduct in-depth legal research and analysis on competition law issues
- Assist in the preparation and review of competition law filings, such as merger notifications and antitrust litigation documents
- Analyse market data and economic evidence to assess the competitive impact of transactions and conduct
- Advise clients on regulatory compliance and enforcement actions
- Manage and coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure timely and efficient delivery of legal services
Qualifications
- Qualified Lawyer (Open to March 2025 NQs yet to qualify, up to circa 3 years PQE)
- Strong academic record
- Demonstrated experience in a competition law practice, preferably at a top-tier law firm
Preferred Experience
- Experience working on complex merger control proceedings
- Exposure to antitrust litigation and regulatory investigations
- Familiarity with competition law regulations in multiple jurisdictions
